I owe my success in the car business to Pete and Minta. If it wasn't for the valuable knowledge I obtained from their program I wouldn't be where I am today. I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to train under them!
- Chris Brantly, Orr Toyota

I wanted to thank you for this opportunity. Today I took my very first up and I sold him a car! Paid sticker price too. Thank you for the knowledge and delivery method. It truly works.

Automotive Job Interview Tips
-
Ensure that you know the precise time and location of the dealership job interview.
-
Bring a few copies of your resume and any other documents that might be relevant.
-
Look sharp by arriving 20 minutes before the interview and dressing appropriately. You should always dress professional, which would include dress pants, pressed shirt and a tie for the gentlemen (suit coat is optional) Ladies should always be dressed in a professional and conservative manner. No jeans, shorts, t-shirts, flipflop shoes, etc.
-
Confidence is key, as first impressions count. A good firm handshake and a smile go a long way.
-
Don’t sit down until you are offered, sit up straight and show your interest by leaning towards the interviewer.
-
Eye contact should be maintained.
-
Keep your answers brief and to the point, but above all listen to what is being said and be sure your responses actually answer the question being asked.
-
Try to describe your specific achievements in relation to the automotive sales position you are applying for. A simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ may not be enough.
-
If asked to explain reasons for leaving any of your last positions, try not to make derogatory remarks. Candidates that appear overly negative toward their previous employers are usually thought to be negative in nature and often times overlooked for the position.
-
Research the dealership you are applying to, and above all prepare well and practice your interview techniques.
